How can I get more work units for my little old ass daily use macbook? OS 10.10.5, 2 Gb RAM
WCG seems to be dying, I like my little email and youtube machine to be doing a little bit of something - when it gets work from Rosetta it goes through them pretty fast, would like to have more 🌴

Is it OK if I move the boinc installation to another computer in the middle of computation? Like, I used a USB linux system as the base of BOINC, can I shut it down, move it to another computer, boot that up and continue computing? Will those WUs be invalidated?

No.

Will those WUs be invalidated?
Yes.
They must be processed on the system they were downloaded to, and returned by that system.

How do I know what Rosetta is currently working on? News flow is limited from what I can see.

1) This posted above and apparently ignored.
2) I do not see any kind of System Requirements information.
3) When I search the Forums for "Apple Silicon" all I get is information that the latest version of AlphaFold runs on it now.
4) What is AlphaFold and do I need to install it?
5) Hi. People want to help. We have idle machines and most of us don't even touch 50% CPU or GPU usage even when we are using our machine. Can you make it easier for folks to understand how to get things working or if they even CAN get things working on their current hardware?
6) 3 Day turnaround? A bit demanding for a project asking for volunteers, yeh?

News flow is limited totally absent for newcomers. Tell me to take a hike if you must, but can someone running the show respond to anything? Or if you don't have time, can you open up your knowledge base to volunteers who want to help? Something? Honestly, I read a bunch of the forums here already and people are talking about how you have to get lucky to be issued work? I mean, have we folded every protein already? Seriously, if we have then I'll go find a cancer research BOINC or something else.

Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.[/i]
